4 times winners from 6 final appearances and 8 semi final appearances makes Ajax Holland's most successful European Cup side. In 1973 they became the second ever side to win the Cup for 3 consecutive years. The side boasted some of Holland's most famous players such as Cruyff, Neeskens, Muhren, Haan and Krol. They last won the trophy in 1995 defeating AC Milan with a goal from a 18 year old Patrick Kluivert. Clarence Seedorf played that night, picking up the first of his 4 winners medals to date, and is the only player to win the trophy with three different clubs (Ajax, Real Madrid & AC Milan).
